This is a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) role, distinct from our CNA opening: the focus here is the safe, accurate administration of resident medications under physician orders, alongside personal care support. Azalea Estates is seeking a CMA who brings both clinical skill and a warm, people-first approach to their work. You’ll be a steady, reassuring presence during the night hours — when families trust us most. (A Georgia CMA certification is required for this position; if you are CNA-certified but not yet a CMA, please see our CNA opening.)
What you’ll do
- Administer medications accurately per physicians’ orders and care plans
- Assist residents with personal care and activities of daily living
- Observe and document resident health and behavior throughout the shift
- Communicate changes in condition promptly to the supervising nurse
- Provide calm, compassionate support during overnight hours
What we’re looking for
- Current Georgia CMA certification in good standing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and maturity in challenging situations
- Confidence in your skills and willingness to keep learning
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work collaboratively as a team
